DosKiwis + Fuerst Wiacek (Berlín, Alemanya)

DosKiwis + Fuerst Wiacek (Berlin, Germany)

Dosis Hazy DIPA, 8%

Hops: Nelson, Nelson (Bliss) & Citra Cryo

Big bodied, pillowy soft and ultra bright in character: big citrus with a tropical undertone and a touch of white wine quality and a lingering herbal finish.

JP: We met Lukasz in Norway at the Invitational Beer Fest and I loved chatting hops with him. I feel very aligned when it comes to hop varieties and what we try to get out of hops to make exciting beer. They have been a great European brewery that I’ve had in my field of vision for a while, so it was great to get to do something together.

Here the main character had to be hops. Fuerst make really good DIPAs, so we went for that.

We have a shared love for Nelson Sauvin, and we personally love Nelson and Citra together (it’s the hop combo on our Sunny Nelson), so these are the hops we chose.

We used two different lots of Nelson Sauvin: one lot from Freestyle Hops' Sunrise Valley farm and another from Nelson Lakes farm with the “Bliss process” which maximizes hop complexity and balance of early harvest and late harvest Nelson. We are super happy with it!

JP: The label had to be a homage to Berlin, again from a bird’s eye view. I personally love the landmarks of a place, those that remind you of where you are, and after having spent a few months living in Berlin in 2014, the Berlin TV tower is the feature that I most associate with Berlin.

I also like the colour of the roses in the picture as it reminds me of the color of the bougainvillaea petals at DosKiwis, which one could argue is a landmark here at DKB, so I like that double representation of each brewery.

MJ: For the name I was googling German words and landed on Dosis which means Dose.

Available to purchase via the DosKiwis webshop, with very limited stocks, which we expect to sell out very quickly.
