FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

General

Where can I drink DosKiwis?

You can visit our Taproom in Rupià, Empordà, where we have ten of our freshest beers on tap. Cans and growlers are also available for takeaway.

Please check our Taproom page or Google Maps for current opening hours.

You can also order directly from our webshop and enjoy fresh beer delivered straight to your door, with free shipping on orders over €60. See our shipping policy here.

You’ll find our beers in a range of great shops, bars, restaurants, and hotels throughout Empordà, Girona, and Barcelona. For local partners (within 150 km), we handle distribution directly.

We also work with several national and international distributors who specialise in craft beer.

If you’d like to become a DosKiwis stockist, we’d love to hear from you.

What makes DosKiwis beer different from industrial beer?

We’re a small, independent brewery driven by passion and integrity.

We select ingredients based on quality and values, not cost, always choosing the best available while considering their impact on the environment and the people who drink our beers.

We never use rice, corn syrup, or GMO products, and we avoid unnecessary additives.

Is your beer vegan?

Yes. We don’t use clarifiers or additives of animal origin (common in many industrial beers), and we never use lactose.

Do you make gluten free beer?

Yes, our Rupianum West Coast IPA and Heartbreaker Sour are both gluten-free.

Please note: In the EU, beers containing less than 20 ppm of gluten are considered “gluten-free.” If you’re highly sensitive to even trace amounts, we recommend avoiding it.

Do you make alcohol-free beer?

Yes, it’s called Fenix, available in cans at our Taproom and online shop.

How should I store DosKiwis beer?

We recommend keeping your beer cold (below 10ºC) to preserve its freshness and flavour.

Avoid storing it in hot conditions or exposing it to sudden temperature changes.

Please note: DosKiwis beer is unfiltered and unpasteurised (with the exception of Fenix Alcohol-Free, which is pasteurised). Once packaged, it’s stored cold until delivery. We always maintain the cold chain and only work with distributors who do the same.

What are the advantages of cans?

Our top priority is ensuring that our beer reaches you with all its flavor and freshness intact. Like many breweries worldwide, we believe that recycled, BPA-free aluminum cans are the best option for preserving beers like ours.

Oxygen: Oxygen harms beer freshness. Our cans minimize dissolved oxygen, keeping beer at its best.Light: Beer is sensitive to light. Cans completely protect it from sunlight and UV damage.

Flavour: Our hop-forward styles retain their character better in cans. For the best experience, pour into a glass to enjoy all the aromas.

Recycling: Aluminum is 100% recyclable and can be recycled indefinitely. Our cans contain 68% recycled aluminum.

Carbon footprint: Cans are lighter and more compact than glass, reducing packaging and transport emissions. A can weighs 94% less than a glass bottle - meaning fewer pallets, fewer trucks, and less packaging overall.

Taproom

What is the Taproom?

Our Taproom is an integral part of our brewery, right next to our brewery, it’s where you can drink our beer at its freshest, just meters from where it’s made.

We have a cozy indoor space and a large, beautiful beer garden and terrace.

Please check our Taproom page or Google Maps for current opening hours.

Do you serve food?

Yes. Our on-site kitchen offers a seasonal menu featuring freshly made dishes that celebrate locally sourced ingredients, including options for vegetarians and vegans.

Please alert the kitchen if you suffer from any allergies and please note we cannot guarantee the absence of traces.

Please note that kitchen hours differ from Taproom hours.

Do you serve other drinks besides beer?

Yes. We offer gluten-free and alcohol-free options such as cider and juice from local producer Mooma, plus a small selection of local natural wines.

We also serve Ambient specialty coffee, and Lov Kombucha.

Do I need to book in advance to visit the Taproom?

Walk-ins are always welcome, but we recommend booking in advance for large groups or during busy summer evenings.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes! Dogs are welcome, but for everyone’s comfort and safety, please keep your dog leashed and supervised at all times.

Do you offer tasting experiences?

Do you offer brewery tours?

We don’t currently offer guided “behind the scenes” brewery tours, but you’ll see the entire brewery directly from the Taproom - where DosKiwis beer is made and served, all under one roof.

Can I host a private event at the Taproom?

Absolutely. We’d love to help you plan your celebration - birthdays, weddings, or any special occasion.

We also offer tap rentals, kegs, and cans, so you can bring DosKiwis to your own event.
