On the palate it is smooth and round, bringing together peach, grapefruit, lemon, and grape character with a gentle, fresh bitterness that keeps everything lifted and easy drinking. The finish leans dry, with grapefruit and passionfruit coming through clearly and carrying the beer to a clean close.

The name references Nelson Sauvin hops, the city of Nelson in New Zealand, and the bright, easy character of the beer itself. The bird featured is the Great Tit, a regular visitor around the brewery garden that often nests in unexpected places. Because Sunny Nelson sits below 5% ABV, only the feather appears on the label, reflecting its lighter style.
