DosKiwis + amics

DosKiwis + friends

Today, we are proud to present not one, not two, but THREE very special collaborations with some of our favourite breweries from around the world.

DosKiwis + DEYA (Cheltenham, UK) - Chazzy Hazy IPA, 7%

Hops: Nectaron, Nectar Cryo, Krush Cryo, Krush Hyperboost & Krush Abstraxx

Silky smooth, full of flavour and punchy aromas of citrus, tropical and stone fruit, berries and a woody undertone.

DosKiwis + Left Handed Giant (Bristol, UK) - Ambidextrous Foreign Extra Stout, 7%

Hops: Olicana

Dark, rich, roasty and refreshing. With toasty notes of coffee, cocoa and dark chocolate on a medium-full body that finished dry.

DosKiwis + Fuerst Wiacek (Berlin, Germany) - Dosis Hazy DIPA, 8%

Hops: Nelson, Nelson (Bliss) & Citra Cryo

Big bodied, pillowy soft and ultra bright in character: big citrus with a tropical undertone and a touch of white wine quality and a lingering herbal finish.

We had the privilege of hosting each of them at our brewery in Rupia, in the days before the wonderful Mash Craft Beer Festival in Barcelona, last month.

Exclusively available to purchase via the DosKiwis webshop, with very limited stocks, which we expect to sell out very quickly.

JP: For me, collaborating with other breweries is a huge part of why I love my job: meet like minded people, see their breweries, understand their context, talk about challenges, future plans and goals. It’s amazing to share so much (passion, beer, persistence, values) yet every brewery is a different world. It’s really fun to work on recipes and talk about the beer making process together.

MJ: There’s a lot of energy, creativity and ingenuity in craft beer. Most micro breweries are unique and contain quirks and challenges that need to be overcome, and collaborations create an opportunity for us to get together to better understand how to tackle them.

I'm grateful to be able to justify travel to breweries around the world - we are lucky to have so many passionate individuals in our industry that care about food, coffee, beer and good times.

JP: One of the fun parts is to prepare the concept for each beer beforehand: we share some concept ideas and there’s some back and forth on the recipe. In terms of which brewery takes the lead, I would say it depends, and good ideas always take the lead, whatever side they come from. However, I would say the unspoken code is that the host brewery (the one where the beer is being brewed) has final say as they know their equipment, efficiencies and market the best.

JP: This flurry of collabs kind of just happened! We had been chatting to each of DEYA, Fuerst and LHG for a while about doing something, and since they were all coming to Catalonia for Mash Beer Festival, it seemed like the perfect time.

Mash is a really special event that brings together great breweries and brewers, industry people and passionate craft beer drinkers. It’s always exciting to tap a fresh keg and get the immediate feedback from the crowd and your peers at the same time. Garage Beer do a great job at organizing it and we feel right at home.

MJ: Garage does a great job with Mash, we are lucky to have such a well curated event so close to home. It's difficult to choose a standout beer or brewery from the festival because there’s so much great stuff on tap.
